How to make your Nokia tablet’s battery last as long as possible

Did you know that your tablet’s battery lasts longer if you DON’T switch it off?
It sounds absolutely crazy but it’s absolutely true, switching the tablet off and on uses the same amount of battery life as just leaving the tablet switched on for a day or two. The reason is that the tablets are computers, and computers use a lot more power when they’re starting up than when they’re just switched on. If you switch the tablet off, you’ll have to switch it back on again to use it and this “start up” process drains the battery very quickly.
You don’t actually need to EVER switch the tablets off, they’re designed to be left switched on all the time like a mobile phone. You can charge them while they’re on, and they will warn you several times if the battery is running low.
Some other things that can make your tablet battery last longer:
- Exit as many applications as possible
- Turn down the screen’s brightness to the lowest level that you can cope with
- Make the screen switch itself off more quickly
- Switch off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi if you aren’t using them, either separately or by putting the tablet into Offline or Flight Mode
